Project Description:

This manhole was originally designed to be cast in place like a lot of the precast structures we build at IECS. When approached by ASL to come up with a precast version of the same unit the challenge was welcomed. Going with precast helps save time, money, shoring and dewatering, bypass pumping and can also help greatly with scheduling. This unit was 7.25m at its widest point and over 5m at its highest, receiving two 3000mm concrete pipes along with a 1500mm concrete pipe.
